Installation and Wiring

1. Prepare a mounting hole in the project enclosure to suit the socket’s threaded body.
2. Insert the DC-022B socket through the mounting hole.
3. Secure it using the metal fixing nut.
4. Identify the centre-pin and outer-sleeve terminals with a multimeter.
5. Solder the positive and negative supply wires to the appropriate terminals according to the required polarity.
6. Insulate the soldered connections and check for short circuits before applying power.

Important: A centre-positive connection is common for DC power adapters, but the socket itself does not determine polarity. Always verify the adapter’s polarity, voltage and connector size before connecting your electronics.
