HC-12 433MHz Long-Range Wireless Serial Transceiver Module

The HC-12 433MHz Long-Range Wireless Serial Transceiver Module provides simple and reliable wireless serial communication between Arduino, ESP32, STM32 and other microcontroller systems.

Unlike SPI-based RF modules, the HC-12 uses a straightforward TTL UART serial interface, making it especially convenient for beginners. Data transmitted through the TX pin of one HC-12 can be received through the RX pin of another module, allowing two devices to communicate wirelessly much like a conventional serial cable.

The module operates across approximately 433.4–473.0MHz, supports up to 100 selectable communication channels, and provides adjustable RF transmission power up to 100mW (20dBm). Communication parameters including baud rate, channel, operating mode and transmission power can be configured using AT commands.

Under favourable open-area line-of-sight conditions, the HC-12 can achieve communication distances of up to approximately 1km. Actual range depends on antenna type, transmission settings, interference, obstacles and installation conditions.

Its transparent serial operation makes the HC-12 suitable for wireless sensor networks, telemetry, robotics, remote monitoring, automation systems and projects requiring longer communication distances than conventional short-range wireless modules.
