The JSN-SR04T Waterproof Ultrasonic Sensor Module is a reliable distance measurement sensor designed for Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi and other microcontroller projects. It works like the popular HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor but comes with a waterproof probe, making it better suited for water level monitoring, outdoor measurement and harsh environment applications.
This sensor is commonly used in smart dustbins, automatic water tank monitoring systems, robotics, obstacle detection, liquid level measurement, parking assist systems and IoT-based monitoring projects. The separate waterproof probe allows the sensing head to be placed near water, tanks or outdoor surfaces while the control board remains protected inside an enclosure.
For students, STEM facilitators, electronics hobbyists and project builders, the JSN-SR04T is a good choice for learning non-contact distance measurement. It can detect objects without physical contact and can be easily connected to Arduino or ESP32 using trigger and echo pins.
The module is especially useful for projects where a normal HC-SR04 sensor may fail due to moisture exposure. It is suitable for water tank level projects, smart irrigation systems, flood level monitoring, outdoor automation and embedded distance sensing applications.
